About Us

Program Description:

Specializing in occupational therapy, OTTP offers comprehensive life skills training, work readiness training, job placement, and a variety of support services that are necessary for youth and their families to lead meaningful lives.  OTTP provides comprehensive mental health services in the community, including assessment, individual, group and family therapy, medication support, case management, and 24/7 on-call crisis support.  OTTP Youth Center provides a safe haven for youth after-school, in the evenings, and on the weekends.  OTTP is one division of the non-profit agency, Special Service for Groups (SSG).

OTTP Participants:

OTTP serves children, adolescents, and transitional age youth ages 5-25 who may be experiencing or at-risk of the following:

  • poor academic performance
  • learning disabilities
  • school suspensions
  • pregnant or parenting
  • prior or current gang involvement
  • on probation
  • substance use or abuse
  • labeled with a mental health diagnosis

OTTP serves youth who may be interested in developing the following skills:

  • Anger Management
  • Time Management
  • Self-Confidence
  • Self-Esteem
  • Money Management
  • Interviewing for a Job

OTTP offers Level II fieldwork placements for both OT & OTA Programs nationwide. OTTP also functions as a residency site for clinical doctorate students in Occupation Therapy. We currently work with the following schools:
